Author Details Professor Tahir Mahmood - Chairman of Amity University's Institute of Advance Legal Studies - specializes in the discipline called 'religion and the taw' and has spent a lifetime in studying and teaching - and guiding research, writing and lecturing on its various facets. In his distinguished career of 41 years, Dr Mahmood has been the Dean of Delhi University's Law Faculty and has held the prestigious positions of Chairman of the National Minorities Commission and Member of the National Human Rights Commission of India.
