Description
Environmental Law Case Book, second edition, contains extracts of, and comments on, significant judgments pronounced by Indian judiciary on environment. Classified into six parts and comprising eighteen chapters, the Case Book depicts the manner in which norms of environmental protection are evolved, and tested in the social milieu of a fast developing country. The Case Book highlights recent and updated case law pertaining to various aspects of environmental regime - law of public nuisance, conservation of forest and other resources, coastal zone management, Constitutional mandates for environmental protection, control of pollution, judicial review of decisions affecting environment, and impact assessment processes.
The first edition of this book was very well received by teachers as well as students of law. This revised and updated second edition of Environmental Law Case Book, with a qualitative analysis of the recent case law, is an asset for not only the students of law, but also for lawyers, judges, academicians, environmentalists, and social activists.
