Choudary has been one of the pioneers of judicial activism in India. While Justice Bhagwati and Justice Krishna lyer were the Chief architects of judicial innovation during the late 70's and early 80's, Justice Choudary was the Chief torch bearer of that innovative judicial interpretation during the late 80's. Justice Choudary was designated as a senior counsel of the Supreme Court in 1978 while he was practising in the High Court and the Supreme Court. As a Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Justice Choudary delivered quite a few momentous judicial opinions on issues of constitutional importance and significance. Some of his opinions have received the stamp of judicial approval from the Indian apex court and thus have become the law of the land under Article 141 of the Indian Constitution.Coming as he does from agricultural background, Justice Choudary is destined to become not only a top lawyer of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Bar but also one of the most creative judicial minds to enrich the Indian Constitutional jurisprudence and judicial process.Revising AuthorsDr. B Errabbi, a Constitutional Law and Hman Rrights expert with a teaching career spanning more than four decades, has received many distinctions. He was a visiting scholar to Columbia Law School, New York, USA in 1971. He headed Campus Law Centre of Delhi University in 1988. He was associated with Mara University of Technology, Malaysia as a Visiting Professor at the School of Administration and Law from 1992 to 96. Besides teaching various subjects at both the undergraduate and post- graduate level, Dr. Errabbi has also guided several research scholars for their doctoral degrees. A prolific writer, Dr. Errabbi has more than 50 publications to his credit. He authored two books which are law and Poverty' co-authored by him and edited by Dr. LM. Singhvi, and 'Right to Travel under the Indian Constitution'. He is a life member of several organisations like the Indian Law Institute, Society for International Law, International Institute of Human Rights Society etc. Dr. Errabbi is presently engaged in research on the 'Constitutional Right to Personal Liberty1 and 'Judicial Activism in India'. Presently, he is a visiting Professor at NALSAR University of.Law, Shameerpet, Hyderabad.Dr. Madabhushi Sridhar Acharyulu received his doctoral degree for his thesis on 'Freedom of Press and Defamation' (Media Law). He has a Masters Degree in Communications and Journalism. He received 4 gold medals in MCJ and one in LL.B. He has undergone training in advance techniques in mass media in Czechoslovakia. He pursues his Journalistic interests by contributing regularly to various newspapers, magazines and online website journals. Dr. Sridhar has developed course curriculum in distance education on 'Women and Law' and 'Human Rights" for Ambedkar Open University.
