Description
The Labour and Industrial sector performs a vital function and role in the development of a nation. Of them some are organised and other sun organised and further some are militant in nature. It is the duty of the State to enact Labour Laws and implement it for the welfare of the employers and the employees which will be a steppingstone towards the dream of a welfare state. The employers and the employees should co-exist in a healthy and co-operative manner for the smooth functioning of labour and industrial sector. Exploitation by the employers and labour militancy by certain employees is a viceinour society. A balance has to be struck in between them. In thise edition of the book we have included all the important Labour and Industrial Laws.Thrust has been given to incorporate Statutes and relevant Rules applicable to Kerala. The book has been divided into two parts. In the first one, the Central Labour Acts along with there levant Kerala Rules and Notifications are given. In these condpart the State Labour Acts, Rules and Notifications finds itsplace.Towards the end an appendix containing some vital statutes including the Labour & Industrial Policy, 2007; Information Technology Policy, 2007 find its place. Case Laws have been given under relevant sections. The list of enactments are given in the General Contents. Almost the whole structure of Minimum Wages fixed for different industries in the State under the Minimum Wages Acts has been fully incorporated in the book.
