Author Details The author of this book Er. M.K. Gupta obtained his degree in Civil Engineering in 1980 from University of Roorkee (now know as I.I.T. Roorkee), a premier institute in the field of Civil Engineering. Since then he has worked in many Public, Private and Govt. organizations and has got wide experience in practically all aspects of Tendering, Billing, Construction Supervision and Maintenance. At present he is Engr.-in-Charge (Civil) in Inter-University Accelerator Centre (formerly known as Nucler Science Centre) located in JNU Campus near Vasant Kunj, Delhi. He has been instrumental in introducing many innovative ideas in the construction and maintenance of this Centre. Author in his many years of experience in Civil practical handbook on building maintenance which can act as a ready reckoner for management and technical solutions of these problems. Prompted by these feelings the author himself dared to prepare such a practical handbook. The results of his efforts are in your hands. The approach of the book is very methodical, practical and user friendly and makes it unique from all other books available on the subject.
