Author Details
The author, an officer in the Labour Department is now on deputation in the General Administration (MGPM) Department, Government of Kerala. Earlier, he had worked as Fellow (Labour) in the Kerala Institute of Labourand Employment (KILE).
He has worked with various Public, Private and Non Government Organisations and also practiced as lawyer in the Courts of Kerala for a brief tenure before joining the Labour Department.
He has more than two decades of experience in the field of management and law in various capacities including in enforcement of Labour legislations.
Apart from being author of more than fifty articles on Labour, Employment, Industry and Law, he has also played his part in the drafting of a number of Labour Welfare legislations and various reform initiatives undertaken in the State. He was one of the principal architects in the drafting of the Kerala Loading and Unloading (Regulation of Wages and Restriction of Unlawful Practices) Act, 2002,
He has undergone a training programme on "Effective Quality Undertaking and Improvement Process (EQUIP) in the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Malaysia.
Above all he is a guest faculty in various organizations / institutes in the State.
"The Kerala Loading and Unloading (Regulation of Wages and Restriction of Unlawful Practices) Act, 2002 with rules and notifications" is another book authored by him.
